Mrs Emmy Martin

Acting Head of Geography

Mrs Martin attended Sandown High School where she studied for her GCSEs and A Levels. She then went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Geography at the University of Plymouth, graduating in 2015.

She returned to the Island in 2017 to complete her PGCE through the University of Portsmouth.

Experience

Mrs Martin completed her PGCE through the School Direct Programme, embedding her training within the school environment, completing placements at The Island Free School and Sandown Bay Academy.

Prior to this she worked as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialist school in Poole.

My Goals

It is my goal to reignite passion for geography and learning in school.

I would love to continue to travel in my spare time, visiting every continent, and using my experiences to bring the world to life in the classroom.
