Teacher of Spanish

Dr Phillips is a native French speaker who grew up in Réunion, a Francophone island in the Indian Ocean. She has a passion for languages and loves travelling around the world.

In her spare time, she likes watching films, going for walks, spending time with her family and cuddling her fussy grumpy cat.

Experience

Dr Phillips completed a doctorate in Post-Colonial Literature at Swansea University and obtained her PGCE in French and Spanish at the University of the West of England. She went to teach not only in the UK but also in France, Mexico, and Reunion Island, where she originally came from.

My Goals

I believe that speaking different languages can create incredible opportunities to find exciting employment here and abroad, strike unexpected wonderful friendships and make one fearless, as well as strongly confident, as a global citizen. My goal is to inspire our pupils to aim for careers around the world!
