U14 Girls Reach Hampshire Hockey Final

On Friday 10th November the U14 girls’ hockey team travelled to Southampton to compete in the Hampshire trophy.
The girls played well throughout the day, winning their group without losing a match, despite being drawn against some of the top teams in the county.
TIFS girls went on to dominate their semi-final match though they were unable to convert any of their chances against a hugely competitive Hampshire Collegiate team. With the match drawn, TIFS girls held their nerve and won, putting them through to the final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
TIFS then played the Ryde School team in an all island final. Our girls dominated the match but, once again, were unable to score despite numerous chances. As with the earlier semi final, the final had to be decided by a penalty shoot-out which was won decisively by Ryde.

Well done to our girls, congratulations to Ryde and our thanks to the Hampshire Hockey Association for an excellent tournament.
