Monday 13th May saw round 2 of the Island Schools Golf League take place at Ryde Golf Club.
The good weather continued throughout the day with the sun shining late into the evening. Four groups teed off in this round, all with great drives down a narrow fairway.
Max S-P continued to wow his competitors with a huge iron drive onto the green in 2. Callum C admitted the ‘red mist’ only made a slight appearance and he was able to hold his cool for the duration of his round.
Harrison B was the smartest dressed player in his school blazer and tie as he forgot his PE kit and Tobi W maintained second place within his group.
We also had two up and coming TIFS golf squad players Aaron E-L and Harry T play at the back of the pack. They, alongside two other rising year 9 stars, will be taking the place of our year 11′s when they leave.
At the end of the round, Max S-P and Callum C won their matches with Tobi W and Harrison B coming in second place.
After Round 2, TIFS maintain their lead with 4 wins under their belt going into Round 3 on the 10th June. Can they hold on to take the 2019 league title?
