Thursday 17th October was RE Drop Down Day for Years 7 and 8, and Philosophy and Ethics Day for Years 9 and 10.
Year 7 spent the day learning about Christianity and the belief in helping others. The pupils learned about the story of the Good Samaritan and the work of the charity Christian Aid. Year 8 learned about Hinduism, the life of a British Hindu and their activities included making Rangoli patterns and Ganesh elephant designs.
Year 9 and 10 were introduced to ethical issues surrounding Crime and Punishment and War and Conflict. Pupils will work on creative responses to these subjects in the December Drop Down Day. Special thanks to the staff who developed their sessions for today.
