Yesterday, a selection of pupils were treated to a performance in our theatre by extremely talented degree students from Platform One College. Pupils included scholars, music GCSE classes, and members of the choir and Freesound Collective. The degree show was a history of popular music and included songs from Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles and Elbow to name a few. It was topped off with the Christmas cracker “Don’t Let the Bells End”. The whole performance was fantastic and very polished, and all the musicians really inspired our pupils. Earlier in the day, some pupils had the opportunity to ask questions and gain a good insight into the post GCSE musical possibilities. We are excited to work with Platform One more closely in the future.
