Dear Parents and Carers,
An opportunity has arisen to join TIFS governing body as a parent governor. We would be especially keen to receive applications from parents and carers of pupils in younger years (yr 6 (joining TIFS in September 2018) to 8) and / or parents of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) as there is currently limited experience on the governing body in these areas.
We ask that anyone who is interested in joining the governing body please click here to read through the governing body policy and the recruitment of governors process, in order to gain a full understanding of the work, the expectations and the criteria required to be a governor at TIFS.
Please click here to view and download an application form, which should be returned to Mrs Turtle either by email or by post. The closing date for applications will be 6pm on Friday 25th May. Once vetted by the governing body, all shortlisted candidates will be supported in creating pen portraits outlining their relevant skills and reasons for wanting to join the governing body.
Parents will then be invited to vote for their preferred candidate as part of the parent mentor meeting process beginning mid June. The outcome of the vote will be shared before the end of the school year and the successful candidate will be invited to the first meeting of the new academic year.
Mr S. J. Boyd
