Miss Sally McKean, Learning Support Assistant
Miss Mckean was born and educated on the Isle of Wight. While attending Cowes High School she was fortunate to be taught by inspiring and enthusiastic teachers who enabled her to achieve A levels in Philosophy and Ethics, Psychology and Sociology. She was then accepted into her dream university – the University of Sussex and moved to Brighton where she obtained a BSc in Psychology. During this time she met students and professors from all over the world which was where her love of travel began.
After months spent travelling across Bulgaria, South America and New Zealand, her interest in understanding the diversity of people and cultures blossomed further. With an enhanced appreciation of the value of education, she now hopes to cultivate students’ strengths, enabling them to flourish and unlock their potential. Whilst working as an LSA, Miss Mckean continues to build upon her knowledge of the factors which can impact a pupil’s learning and mental wellbeing. Her aspiration is to become an Educational Psychologist.
