Miss Marina Ignarski

Miss Marina Ignarski- Teacher of Textiles

Miss Ignarski studied at the London College of Fashion before embarking on a degree in Fashion and Textiles at the University of the West of England. She achieved her PGCE in Design and Technology (2011) also at the University of the West of England. In addition to this she holds a Master of Arts in Critical Creative Practice from Southampton Solent University.



Miss Ignarski has experience of working in the fashion industry while pursuing an internship at Anna Sui in New York in 2010. She has also designed textile prints showcased to Fashion clients at Indigo and Premiere Vision in Paris and New York. During her Masters degree she directed and produced a sustainable fashion show combined with her own fashion film.
She feels very passionate about the environment and enjoys working with sustainable materials such as organic peace silk and upcycled materials.
Most recently she has collaborated with authors creating illustrations for children’s books. She has taught in a number of schools across the Isle of Wight.

Miss Ignarski’s goals…

My goals are to share my love of textiles with pupils at Free School and to instil in them a sense of confidence and to embrace challenge. I am thrilled to be working at Free School and look forward to seeing students make their way in the subject using their best efforts and imagination.
