Miss Emily Allcock, Head of Year 7
Miss Allcock joined us in September 2015 as a newly qualified teacher. She grew up in Leicestershire, and is now very excited to be living and working on the Island having spent all of her summer holidays here as a child. After working as a Teacher of Drama for three years, Miss Allcock became Head of Year for our 2018 cohort.
Miss Allcock loves baking, reading books and watching old movies. She also enjoys going to the theatre as much as possible, and is a keen stage make up artist.
Miss Allcock has A Levels in Drama and Theatre Studies, English Literature and History and gained a first class honours degree in Drama from the University of Northampton. Whilst at University she worked with several youth theatre groups, and discovered her love for making theatre with young people. She completed her PGCE at the University of Warwick, working within a nationally accredited Outstanding drama department at a school in Coventry.

A progress measure is a measure of improvement in learning and therefore is a good measure of the impact an individual teacher has had on a pupil or class. Pupils are expected to make a minimum of 3 points’ progress in each subject each year. As part of teacher appraisals we will report on the average progress made by classes taught by each of our teachers. A progress measure of +4 or higher shows good progress and a measure of +6 or higher shows outstanding progress.
