Lord Wandsworth College Hockey Festival and Dorset House & Priory

On Saturday 5th October TIFS took two U13 Girls Hockey teams to Lord Wandsworth College to participate in their annual invitational hockey festival. This is the fourth time we have attended this prestigous event which attracts some of the best hockey schools from the South of England.

With an early 6am start the girls arrived just before 9am hoping that the rain would stop, which it duly did. Each team played seven matches, winning, drawing and losing one each. It is the first time these teams have played together and the standard of skill, enthusiasm and commitment was wonderful from all of the players. The girls confidence grew as the games progressed.

Many thanks to Miss Sheen, Mrs Boyd and Mr Cole who accompanied the teams on the day.

On the following Thursday 10th October, TIFS welcomed Dorset House School (Sussex) and Priory School for a triangular hockey competition at Rew Valley Sports Centre. This, again, is an annual event and the third time Dorset House have visited us. TIFS provide three teams, Dorset house two and Priory school one. All the teams then played as many ten minute matches as possible and finished with refreshments back at the main site.
The U13 girls are now looking forward to their re-scheduled Hampshire tournament at the end of November!
