Inter Schools Dressage Competition

TIFS In The Ribbons!

On Monday, five pupils along with their horses and ponies spent the day representing the school in the annual Inter Schools Dressage Competition. Competing against almost all other high schools on the Island, and against all year groups, TIFS pupils came away with an impressive array of rosettes.

Theo K and Bethanie M flew the flag for TIFS in Preliminary 18 Section A securing fifth and sixth place respectively. As the day progressed, the great results continued as Samantha A achieved second place with a superb 69.25%, and Tammy N sixth place, in section B. Kirsty A performed the last test of the day in the more advanced Novice 28, securing fifth place, to end a great day of equestrian sport with the team being placed third overall.

“It is a great credit to our pupils that they all secured individual placings in the top six for their section, leading to a super overall team result. I am thrilled to have pupils that have worked very hard to represent the school for the first time, and continue to be impressed by the dedication and improvement of previous team riders, especially when moving onto new horses. Also a big thanks to all the family and friends who came to support and bring the horses and ponies.” – Miss Allman.
