Today, Years 8, 9 & 10 took part in an off-timetable day where they explored different aspects of GCSE study.
For Year 8, this was in the form of a GCSE Taster Day, whereby pupils had the opportunity to get an insight into the different courses we offer beyond KS3.
In the afternoon, Year 9 were treated to a hands-on workshop from the group “Positively Mad”, who taught pupils fun and intuitive ways to manage and approach GCSE study.
“Positively Mad” also performed to Year 10 in the morning, following which pupils explored a variety of techniques throughout the day to help make GCSE revision manageable, such as mind maps, flashcards, and exciting tools specific to English, Maths and Science.
All pupils had an enjoyable, valuable and insightful day.
We would like to wish a happy and restful half-term break to all our pupils. A reminder to Year 8 parents that GCSE Options forms must be completed and returned by Monday 19th February.
