Festive Jumper Day and Last Day of Term

Friday 11th December 2020

The last day of term saw pupils and staff arrive wearing their festive jumpers, ready to celebrate in traditional TIFS style. After a morning of usual lessons, pupils returned to their mentor rooms for games and then came together in year groups to enjoy our annual festive lunch.
Whilst Key Stage 3 pupils were at lunch, the older year groups took part in the traditional radio show quiz hosted by our very own Mr Peace and Mrs Steele, earning points for their houses. The corridors were very quiet this year as house groups emailed their answers in to be counted, ensuring all year group and class bubbles were maintained. This was then run for the younger pupils later in the afternoon. All house points were added up and the overall winners of the House Trophy this term were announced as…Rubeum!
It was wonderful to see the children having such an enjoyable day whilst still remembering the importance of staying safe.
A fantastic amount of food items were brought in to school for festive jumper day and these will be taken to the food bank next week. This will go to island families who need extra help at this time; thank you to all who donated so generously.
We would like to wish all our parents, carers and pupils a restful Christmas break and thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to seeing pupils back in school on Tuesday 5th January 2021.
