Mission Statement
“Our aim is to ensure that all pupils experience enjoyment, satisfaction and an understanding of music through composing, performing, listening and appraising.
We aim to engage and inspire pupils to develop a growing love of a wide variety of music, whilst developing their talent as musicians and their critical engagement with music through listening.
Through this, all of our pupils will be able to enjoy and appreciate music as an essential part of their lives and we will also be creating the musicians and educators of tomorrow.
Through our Music Specialism, we give all pupils an opportunity to learn a musical instrument to enhance their self-discipline and perseverance through practice and application. In turn, this feeds into their ability to learn in all subjects; to stretch, to enhance and sharpen their learning skills.”
