Monday 22nd July 2019 saw The Island Free School’s annual Bonnie Challenge take place over St Boniface Down. It was another storming success this year with many of our wonderful Year 7s earning a place on the leader board. The breezy conditions up on St Boniface Downs set perfect conditions for the 1km race. Pupils raced in their houses, with the route being lined by pupils from other year groups. There was a fantastic atmosphere with lots of cheering, and Year 7 did themselves proud. House results were as follows: Rubeum in 1st place, Viridis in 2nd place, Caesitas in 3rd place, Rosea in 4th place and Flavi in 5th place. Sam C was the fastest boy, setting a new school record with a time of 3:39 and Kaitlyn M was the fastest girl with a time of 3:50.
