Art Not Without Ambition.

Thursday 7th November saw our cast of Macbeth boldly take to the stage to share their ambitious version of this Shakespearean classic. Performed as part of the Shakespeare Schools Festival we saw Macbeth transported to the trenches of WW1. With the backdrop of war Macbeth’s ambition for power consumes him while Macduff and her suffragist army build a campaign against him.
The pupils performance was described as powerful and strong with a clear and clever concept. Their work as an ensemble was exceptional with each pupil fully committing to the part they were playing.
As a school we are incredibly proud of the cast and would also like to say thank you for the support we received from the audience. This was our fifth year taking part on the festival and we are already looking forward to next year.
