Mrs Vicki Sampson, Clerk to the Governors
““I am very proud to be a part of the school that I have supported since it opened in 2014. I was impressed by the ethos, leadership and enthusiasm of all those involved at the beginning, and I am now able to assist the Governors in carrying these foundations forward for the future success of the school.” says Vicki Sampson.
Vicki has been Clerk to the Governors since January 2018, having completed a Clerk’s Development Programme in Winchester. She has been a supporter of the school from the early days and her eldest daughter was among the first cohort in 2014.
Moving to Ventnor from Essex in 1986, Vicki worked at the local Library in the town and after leaving school, jobs at the Chronicle and then the County Press followed. Taking a year out to travel, she then spent four years as a Hotel Receptionist in Bonchurch. After eleven years working for the IW Council’s Social Services and Democratic Services Deptartments and studying part time for a Business Degree, Vicki left employment to work for the family business and bring up her three daughters.
In her spare time Vicki enjoys running and has set her sights on a half marathon in 2019. She also enjoys reading and playing the piano.
